Through their constructive approach to supporting constituency meetings with MPs, Hope for the Future have an almost unique insight into what makes MPs tick and how to find common ground. This is a refreshing - and vital - way of delivering political campaigns, and we’re keen to work with them as much as possible so that we can embed this approach into the heart of our work.

Hope for the Future’s training was incredibly positive, informative, and inspiring. My MP and I don’t see eye to eye on a lot of issues, but I came away feeling like that can be an opportunity (to broaden perspectives, to really listen to each other and find common ground) and not just a roadblock. I feel equipped and excited to engage with my MP much more fully now.

At the heart of Hope for the Future’s model is partnership. By finding common ground with MPs they are able to unlock doors and make things happen in a way that has been heartening to experience and vital for our sisters and brothers experiencing climate change right now! They are able to put into practice ideas and research that could improve the landscape of climate campaigning for years to come.

Those at school today will be tackling the challenge of climate change tomorrow. The workshop was a great way of opening the issue up to the students and engaging them in thinking about how they could make a difference.

I learned a lot more about climate change and enjoyed the chance to work on a solution for a growing problem. It was an interesting experience meeting with Guto Bebb, he answered questions to the fullest and was engaged with us when we presented our presentations.

Being able to engage with MPs is essential for a healthy democracy, never more so when it comes to the existential issue of climate change. Hope for the Future do a good job of bringing people and their MPs together and I found my experience of working with them really worthwhile.

We recognised our need to understand better the way MPs’ minds and lives work as we develop our programme of nurturing moral reflection in public life: no one else is offering this kind of intelligent help in engaging with MPs. It has transformed the way we approach them.

Hope for the Future take a very thoughtful and productive view on how to talk about climate. They challenged me to think differently and consider how the person I’m speaking to might be feeling. They advised preparing in advance and finding common ground. And understand when it might be possible to move people’s thinking – and when it might not be. The workshop was really thought provoking.

It is a privilege to support a charity like Hope For The Future who so genuinely care for the future of our world and seek to empower everyday people to take action. Their training and resources are fantastic and they truly practice what they preach.
