The Government’s Pension Schemes Bill currently making its way through Parliament offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for divestment - a chance to scale up our local campaigns into a national policy that reflects that fossil fuels are not the future.

For this workshop, join divestment campaigners from UK Divest, financial experts from Finance Innovation Lab, and climate communicators from Hope for the Future to find out how we can all speak to our MPs and make a difference.

📜Strategy - understanding the stakes of the bill, the strategy behind the amendment, and what we can ask our MPs to do to support us

📮An introduction to MP engagement - how to best utilise this essential tool in our democratic system 

🖼️Framing - tailoring divestment messaging to different audiences to build the coalition needed to win fossil-free pensions 

🤝Relationship-building - how to use strategic relationship building to engage with your MP, bring them on board, work cooperatively and hold them to account as the bill moves towards becoming legislation
