Belfast Systems Change Regional Workshop

September 18, 2025

12:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Do you want to explore having effective conversations with politicians in Belfast about the climate and nature issues that you care most about?

If so, join us for this free, in-person workshop, hosted by Hope for the Future in partnership with Nature Neighbourhoods at 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast, BT1 1DA

This session is designed to help individuals and local community organisations feel confident and prepared engaging elected representatives and Belfast City Council, to influence and drive forward important local climate and nature action.

Following an optional time for networking and lunch from 12:30 - 1:30, this 3 hour interactive workshop will:

  • Explore Hope for the Future’s unique relationship-based approach, looking at how to build collaborative, action oriented relationships with our politicians.
  • Look at the specifics of Belfast politicians and governance, including council structures, and hear from people's prior experiences of engaging with politicians and Belfast City Council.
  • Provide practical advice and skills, and opportunities to share community knowledge, to help identify key politicians and stakeholders to engage, and begin action planning next steps
  • Hear from local Nature Neighbourhood projects, and possibly local politicians, on the challenges, and opportunities of constituent-politician engagement.

We hope to see you there, to help raise the voice of local climate and nature action in Belfast.
