Template Letters

If you use one of our template letters, please do let us know by emailing info@hftf.org.uk. We are always happy to provide extra support. A great way to engage with your MP is to send them a personal letter or email.

This could be simply to make them aware that their constituents are concerned about climate change and would like to see them taking action. It could be to ask them to meet with you to discuss climate change or to invite them to an event. Below we have provided template letters for each of these instances.

We are currently refreshing our template letters for 2024. Please check back soon.

Tips

  • MPs are more likely to respond to emails sent to their constituency office rather than parliament.

  • Try to avoid sending a blanket email that you haven't written - make sure you know what is written in your letter. Personal letters or emails are more likely to get a response.

  • If you are struggling to get hold of your MP, try contacting a local councillor to ask to be put in touch.

  • We often hear that MPs pay more attention to hand written letters.
