No new Oil and Gas - Meet your MSP (Scotland focussed) training

Are you looking to have your voice heard and engage positively with your local MSP to ensure there are no new oil and gas projects approved in Scotland?

Are you planning to take part in the week of action from 3rd - 9th March?

Join us for this thought provoking workshop from Hope for the Future, in collaboration with #StopRosebank, covering the basics of how to research and build a relationship with your MSP in a way that is more likely to lead to positive action.

The session will cover:

  • An overview of the current Scottish political context and the Stop Rosebank campaign within that
  • Hope for the Future’s relationship based approach to democratic engagement
  • How to research and find common ground with your MSP
  • How to develop political asks that are more likely to lead to a commitment
  • Which politician to go to for different types of political commitment
  • Top tips for writing to and meeting with your MSP

There are also sessions that will be more focused on MPs and the wider UK political context that you can choose to attend. If you have any questions about the training, or have any specific accessibility requirements that you’d like us to know about in order for you to attend, please get in touch at matthew.sellar@hftf.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help.
