Letter from our director, jo Musker-Sherwood

To mark the midway point of Community Energy Fortnight, this month our newsletter  celebrates all that Community Energy does to tackle climate change, secure the UK’s energy supply and invest in local communities. In recent years the sector has not had an easy ride with multiple policy changes cutting support and reducing project stability. At our most recent local event with climate sceptic Philip Davies MP we saw first-hand the positive response of Mr Davies to learning more about the benefits of Community Energy. You can find  out more below about how you can ask your MP to support all the good work of Community Energy throughout the UK.

We are indebted to help from our many partners who form Hope for the Future’s advisory board. Our board assists us in putting together our resources specifically designed for MP meetings. Take a look at our new resource for this month, the Decarbonisation of the UK's Heating Supply, and as always, we would love to hear from you if would like any direct support from Hope for the Future in lobbying your local MP.

Best wishes,

Jo
