Our vision is to see churches, groups and individuals across the country working together to build long standing relationships with their MP, and working to have constructive conversations which slowly but surely shift the culture of silence around this issue. We are always delighted when we hear back from churches that working with us as been a positive experience for us. Below is some recent feedback we received from Lesley Crawly, the local vicar in Jeremy Hunt's constituency;
"Working with Hope for the Future has been truly excellent, their collaborative approach has enabled us to bring together our local community on this this important issue. Whilst many of us care very deeply about the environment, without Hope for the Future we would have been very daunted by this work, as we needed help to understand environmental policies and the political landscape.
This project has enabled the church to engage with our community in a really positive way. I have received emails from people who previously had no contact with the church who say how delighted they are that the church is taking action and church is now seen to be relevant and an influence for good.
I would say that the climate change event we have been working on with Hope for the Future, and to which we have invited our local MP, Jeremy Hunt, has been the best outreach work we have done so far. I would certainly encourage other churches to work with the campaign in their advocacy work for communities across the world affected by the devastating impacts of climate change."
