On the 15th of September Sir Kevin Barron met with congregations from 6 churches in his constituency to respond to concerns about climate change. The meetings was organised and skillfully facilitated by Nick Jowitt, a Climate ambassador for Hope for the Future.

Sir Kevin covered a wide range environmental concerns with several stories of his days working in coal mining. He did however confirm that a Labour government would reverse changes to the infrastructure bill that this government have made removing the requirement for all new build homes to be carbon neutral.   This is an important policy commitment that we will be confirming with Caroline Flint.
