A successful Hope for the Future service was recently held at St Mary's in Ingleton, a report of the event has come into the Hope for the Future team -
On 11th May, we led a service of environmental issues in church. We used an amusing sketch as a demonstration of people’s misuse of God’s gifts to us. We concentrated on Fairtrade and the use of your tithe to pay more for Fairtrade food.
At the end of the service, children handed out pre-printed copies of the Hope for the Future letters in addressed envelopes. The recipients’ names were on the screen, so people wrote in the names, who they were doing it for, and their own addresses.
We reckon 40 letters may have been sent out.
