New Environment Bishop supports Hope for the Future

The Bishop of Salisbury, the Rt Revd Nicholas Holtam, became the Church of England's lead bishop for Environmental Affairs in September succeeding the Bishop of London. He writes “For Christians, the care of the earth is not an optional extra. Tackling climate change is profoundly missional. We are stewards of the creation for the love of God and one another. The impact of climate change and the reduction of biodiversity threatens all of us, and the poorest are already the earliest and hardest hit. That is why we need to be well informed, active citizens, contributing the wisdom of the Christian faith, and working with those of all faiths and none to secure our planet’s future. Joining the Hope for the Future campaign is an important step all churches can take.”
